Blades of the Guardians (镖人) is an upcoming Chinese anime adaptation of the manhua of the same name by Xianzhe Xu. The series tells the story of Ma Dao, a notorious swordsman who travels the Western regions, taking on various guarding tasks.

Synopsis

Ma Dao is a skilled swordsman who has been unjustly accused of a crime. He is forced to flee his home and go into hiding. One day, he meets a group of travelers who are being attacked by bandits. Ma Dao decides to help them, and together they defeat the bandits.

The travelers are grateful to Ma Dao for saving them. They tell him that they are on their way to the capital city to deliver a message to the emperor. Ma Dao decides to join them, hoping that the emperor will be able to clear his name.

The journey to the capital city is long and dangerous. Ma Dao and his new companions face many challenges along the way. But through it all, they remain loyal to each other. And in the end, they succeed in delivering the message to the emperor. The emperor is impressed by Ma Dao's loyalty and bravery, and he pardons him for his crime.

Ma Dao is now a free man. He can finally return home and live in peace. But he will never forget the friends he made on his journey. And he will always be grateful for the emperor's pardon.
